WINCHESTER — Sarah Max scored two goals — including the game-winner two minutes into overtime — and added an assist to lead SVCA to a win over James Wood on Friday night at Kelican Stadium.
Max’s goal came after Leah Goben played her a through ball, and she outran the defense. Goben assisted both of Max’s goals.
The Patriots (5-2) led 2-0 at the half. James Wood had a 22-8 shot advantage against, but most of Rebekah Max’s 20 saves came on shots from long range.
The Colonels (2-4) received goals from Emily Denton and Katie Padgett.
