WINCHESTER– The Colonels (1-0) opened up the season in dominating fashion with a sweep of visiting Liberty.
In singles No. 1 Fae Schweitzer (8-0), No. 2 Tarah Wampler (8-1), No. 3 Emily Purnell (8-0), No. 4 Holly Landes (8-2), No. 5 Rachel Sours (8-0) and No. 6 Kelsey Nicely (8-0) all won easily.
The No. 1 doubles team of Schweitzer and Wampler (8-0), the No. 2 tandem of Purnell and Nicely (8-0) and the No. 3 duo of Landes and Sours (8-0) did not drop a single game.
