STERLING — James Wood fell to host Dominion in the Conference 23 Tournament finals Friday.
The Colonels (8-7) — who beat Loudoun County 6-3 and Woodgrove 5-4 to reach the finals and qualify for the 4A North Region Tournament — lost five of six singles sets.
Sophomore Clarissa Nicely was the lone winner for James Wood, beating Ashley Carney 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.
