WINCHESTER — The second-seeded James Wood girls’ soccer team defeated No. 3 Sherando 2-0 in the Class 4 Northwestern District semifinals on Tuesday night to earn a Region 4C tournament berth.
Sidney Rathel scored both goals for the Colonels (14-3-1) against Sherando (12-5-1). James Wood will play at No. 1 Handley at 5:30 p.m. in Thursday’s championship game.
