HAGERSTOWN, Md. — The James Wood girls’ basketball team overcame a nine-point deficit to start the fourth quarter to beat St. James (Md.) 45-43 on Wednesday.
The Colonels trailed 38-29 but outscored the Saints 16-5 in the fourth quarter to improve to 10-3.
James Wood was led by Hannah Arnold (15 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks), Makayla Firebaugh (12 points, eight rebounds, five assists, two blocks), Amber Wooldridge (11 points, two assists) and Amanda Christian (nine rebounds, two assists, two steals).
