Lots on the line for Wood, Sherando

STEPHENS CITY — It’s the moment the James Wood High School football team has been waiting for since Nov. 16.

When the Colonels take on Sherando tonight at 7 p.m. at the Warriors’ Arrowhead Stadium, much will be at stake. The winner between Sherando (5-1, 3-1 Northwestern District), ranked third in the Region II Division 4 power ratings, and James Wood (6-1, 4-0), ranked fourth, will be in prime position to make the playoffs. A loss wouldn’t end the Colonels’ district title hopes, but it would almost assuredly end the Warriors’.
