Colonels and Pioneers expected to battle for Northwestern District championship

STEPHENS CITY — As they walked out of Tuesday night’s Northwestern District seeding meeting at Sherando High School, James Wood wrestling coach Greg Walker and his Millbrook counterpart Chris Haines played a game of hot potato. Neither was eager to accept the role of favorite going into Saturday’s district tournament.
