From Star Staff Reports Winchester — Call it the Northwestern District championship match. With a 160-167 win over Sherando Tuesday at Shenandoah Valley Golf Club’s Red Course, Skyline set up a decisive district dual against James Wood today at Rock Harbor. The winner of the match between the Hawks (3-0 Northwestern) and the Colonels (2-1) will claim the regular-season title and earn a berth to the Region II tournament. The Hawks were led Tuesday by Ryan Rettberg, who shot an even-par 36, and Zack Henry (38). Sherando (2-2) was paced by John Judy (40), Tanner Wise (41), Hunter Strosnider (42), and Cory Hammonds (44). |
