Six local players accounted for seven selections on the All-Region 4D softball team.
The First Team includes Millbrook junior Emma Martin, who was selected as a pitcher and for the designated player/flex spot, and senior third baseman Jazmin Orr; James Wood sophomore pitcher Sophia Gerald and junior shortstop Brynnen Williams; and Sherando outfielders Mady Cox (junior) and Kendra Chunta (senior).
Second Team selections are outfielders Kayleigh Harden (James Wood sophomore), Elle Shutts (Sherando sophomore) and Haley Davis (Handley senior).
Honorable Mention selections are Sherando pitchers Lily Wray (junior) and Aubrey Weir (senior) and junior shortstop Makayla Williams; James Wood senior catcher Aliza Judd and sophomore second baseman Katilyn Brannon; and Handley junior Lily Shearer, a DP/flex selection.
