WINCHESTER — James Wood’s Sophia Gerald and Emma Hild threw a combined no-hitter in a home game that was shortened to five innings on Tuesday.
The Colonels (7-2, 2-1 Class 4 Northwestern District) scored nine runs in the first inning, four in in the second, five in the third and one in the fourth against the Judges (0-5, 0-3). Gerald (3.0 innings) and Hild (2.0 innings) combined for 13 strikeouts in the victory.
