James Wood High School’s Logan Bower, Cade Cornwell and Zach Woskobunik signed to play college baseball at a signing ceremony on Monday.

Bower will play at Division II Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, where he will study physical education.

Through the Colonels’ first nine games, Bower led the team in batting average, hitting .458 with a home run, 12 RBIs and 10 runs. Bower also leads the team in on-base percentage at .594 and is first on the team in strikeouts with 17 and second on the team in ERA with 1.4 in 10 innings pitched. Last year, he was named a Class 4 Northwestern District Second Team selection and finished 12th in the area in batting average (.318), 13th in runs (14) and tied for 11th in strikeouts (29).

Shepherd was 20-21 and in fifth place in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Division as of Tuesday afternoon.

Woskobunik signed to attend Division III Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, where he will study biology. Woskobunik has hit .385 with nine runs and a .541 on-base percentage.

Lycoming was 19-15 and in third place in the Landmark Conference as of Tuesday afternoon. The Warriors brought back their baseball program in 2023 after not fielding a team since 1971.

Cornwell signed to continue his baseball career at Camp Community College — a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association — in Franklin, where he will major in general studies. He is tied for second on the team in runs with 11.
