VIRGINIA BEACH — Though it lost its first set of the season, James Wood went 5-0 and won the Endless Summer Tournament on Saturday.
It swept Bishop McNamara (25-10, 25-14), Flint Hill (25-14, 25-18), and Maryvale Prep (25-16, 25-19) in pool play, before defeating Kellam 2-0 (25-23, 25-22) to advance to the final.
There, the Colonels bested Georgetown Day 2-1 (25-20, 15-25, 15-8) to win the tournament. James Wood is now 14-0 on the season.
