2013 All-Area Boys’ Cross Country Team

Alec Schrank — Millbrook — Freshman
Earning All-Conference 21, All-4A North Region and All-Group 4A honors, Schrank was the conference and regional runner-up and placed sixth with a time of 16:10 at the state meet. Schrank’s time was the fastest time for a freshman in any classification at the VHSL meet and he’s The Winchester Star’s Runner of the Year. His season personal record (16:05) came at the Third Battle Invitational.
Tyler Cox-Philyaw — Millbrook — Sophomore
An All-Conference 21, All-4A North Region and All-Group 4A runner, Cox-Philyaw placed 11th at the state meet with a time of 16:31. He finished sixth at the conference meet, and 15th at regionals. He set his season PR at Third Battle with a time of 16:05.
Cole Talton — Handley — Junior
Earning All-Conference 23 and All-4A North Region honors, Talton led Handley by placing fifth at regionals and he finished third in the conference meet. At the Group 4A state meet, Talton finished 18th with a time of 16:37. He set his season PR (16:30) at Third Battle and equaled that time at the Foot Locker South Regional.
Aaron Arslan — Handley — Sophomore
An All-Conference 23 and All-4A North Region runner, Arslan led Handley at the conference meet by taking runner-up honors and he placed seventh at regionals. At state, Arslan placed 17th (16:36, just three seconds off an all-state — top 15 — spot ). He set his season PR (16:25) at Third Battle.
Luke Farinholt — James Wood — Senior
Earning All-Conference 21 and All-4A North Region honors, Farinholt placed 10th at regionals to qualify for his first state meet. At states, he finished 21st overall (16:36) and set his season PR at the Foot Locker South Regional (16:13).
Israel Lockhart — Millbrook — Senior
Lockhart earned All-Conference 21 honors by placing seventh and just missed earning All-4A North Region honors by two spots after finishing 17th. He placed 24th at the 4A state meet at Great Meadow with a time of 16:51. He set his season PR (16:30) at Third Battle.
Max Bader — Millbrook — Sophomore
An All-Conference 21 runner, Bader placed eighth at the conference meet. He came in 22nd at the 4A North Regional and placed 26th (16:53) at the 4A state meet at Great Meadow. He set his season PR (16:43) at Third Battle.
