GIRLS’ CROSS COUNTRY - Colonels capture home meet

WINCHESTER — Host James Wood recorded 40 points to beat Fauquier (42), Skyline (55) and Handley (93) on Friday.

Scoring runners for the Colonels were Haley Witt (fourth in 23:44), Kenzie Konyar (fifth in 23:45), Abbey Esparza (eighth in 25:03), Kendall Pierce (11th in 25:33) and Audrey Sandy (12th in 25:34).

The Judges were led by Lillian Smith (15th in 26:15) and Kaleigh Moss (18th in 26:29).

Skyline’s Carrie Hotek defeated teammate Sabrina Wilkins by 11 seconds to win with a time of 21:26.
