Cross Country - Wood boys’ take 7th at Knights Crossing

SALEM — Kevin Konyar placed 39th overall to lead James Wood to seventh place at the 33-team Knights Crossing Invitational on Saturday.

Joshua Arce (57th, 17:14), Bryce Ratlief (72nd, 17:34), Ethan Pierce (84th, 17:44) and Nathan Shade (86th, 17:49) completed the Colonels’ scoring five on the 3.1-mile course.

Milton, led by overall winner Sam Bowers (15:06), won the team title with 24 points. Scottsboro (178), Pulaski County (193), Christiansburg (195) and Western Albemarle (201) followed in the top five.

Millbrook, led by Brad Hambrick (61st, 17:20), came in 14th, and Sherando, paced by James Harris (59th, 17:17) finished 17th.
