Boys' Cross Country - Colonels record high finish

NEW MARKET — James Wood placed third and Sherando took fifth in the Varsity Blue Division at the Stonewall Jackson Invitational on Saturday.

The Colonels totaled 67 points, while the Warriors had 166. Loudoun Valley won the nine-team division with 53 points.

Clarke County took fifth in the Grey Division with 157 points. Strasburg (53) won the class.

James Wood scorers: Ethan Pierce (6th, 18:06); Nathan Shade (11th, 18:34); Nathaniel Woshner (14th, 18:40); Chris White (16th, 18:44); Joshua Arce (20th, 18:52).

Sherando scorers: Ty Waits (5th, 17:59); James Harris (8th, 18:13); Graham Schultz (43rd, 19:58); Eric Sheetz (66th, 21:33); Justin Dante (67th, 21:35).

Clarke County scorers: Kyle Erickson (8th, 19:10); Connor Hanson (9th, 19:14); Joshua Hinton (36th, 20:49); Daniel Lai (44th, 21:21); Reid Cox (63rd, 22:12)
