Colonels 5th at Glenn Invite

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. — James Wood took fifth and Sherando took sixth in the Dr. Marshall Glenn Invitational Thursday at the Sleepy Hollow Golf & Country Club.

Washington (W.Va.) won the 10-team tournament with a four-player score of 319, and Hedgesville (W.Va.) was second with a 326. James Wood shot a 336 and Sherando — which saw senior Chris Slater tie for second with a six-over 78, two shots out of first — shot a 342.

The Colonels were led by Will Holmes (82), Taylor Blake (84) and Russell Repasky and Hunter Hall, who each shot an 85.

Sherando’s other top scores came from Mason Scott and Savannah Ford (an 87 each) and Anthony Pierro (90).

Monday’s dual golf match between Sherando and James Wood at Rock Harbor Golf Course will decide the Northwestern District regular season championship. The winner will also receive an automatic Region II tournament berth
