The Northern Virginia Daily Sports staff collaborated to create a football top 10 list. Each staffer voted, with 10 points being awarded to the top ranked team, nine to the No. 2 team and so on. Numbers in parenthesis indicate where each team was last week.

1. Handley (1) 4-0, 0-0 Northwestern -- The Judges pounded Brentsville, 47-13, despite senior Jeremiah Wilson sitting out with an injury. Handley is averaging 29.9 points per game.

2. Clarke County (2) 4-0, 0-0 Bull Run -- The Eagles continue to pile up the points -- defeating Central 47-6 last week. Zach and Sam Shiley combined for six touchdowns in the game.

3. James Wood (3) 4-0, 0-0 Northwestern -- Senior Brock Lockhart ran for another 253 yards in the Colonels' 41-21 win over Warren County. James Wood will look to go to 5-0 this week against Brentsville.

Jalen Brisco and Corey Rice combined to throw for 248 passing yards. 5.
