Region 4D Football Ratings
Millbrook has moved up one spot to No. 2 in the latest Virginia High School League Region 4D football ratings that were posted on its website on Monday.
The Pioneers (5-1, 26.3 rating) defeated Liberty 49-14 last week and will host Jefferson (W.Va.) at 7 p.m. on Friday in its Homecoming game.
Millbrook trails No. 1 Jefferson Forest (27.3, 6-0) in Region 4D, where the top eight teams make the playoffs. The Pioneers are followed by No. 3 Salem (25.9, 6-1), No. 4 E.C. Glass (24.8, 5-1), No. 5 Sherando (23.7, 5-2), No. 6 Handley (21.3, 3-3), No. 7 Orange County (20.6, 4-3) and No. 8 James Wood (19.4, 3-4). Liberty (3-4) is No. 9 and trails the Colonels by three-tenths of a point.
Sherando travels to Kettle Run and James Wood travels to Fauquier on Friday (both 7 p.m. starts). Handley hosts Warren County at 1 p.m. on Saturday in its Homecoming game.
In Region 2B, Clarke County (21.0, 5-1) dropped one spot to No. 4 after last week's 20-7 loss to No. 1 Central (26.0, 6-0). Riverheads (24.7, 5-1) is No. 2 and Buckingham County (22.3, 6-1 is No. 3).
The other teams currently in playoff position in Region 2B are No. 5 Strasburg (20.2, 4-1), No. 6 Fort Defiance (19.4, 4-3), No. 7 Madison County (18.7, 4-2) and No. 8 Stuarts Draft (16.6, 4-3).
Clarke County hosts Page County in its Homecoming game at 7 p.m. on Friday.
