Sherando Golf Team Wins District Mini

FRONT ROYAL — The Sherando golf team recorded a four-player score of 323 to win the first Northwestern District mini by seven strokes Tuesday at Shenandoah Valley Golf Club.

The Warriors were led by individual winner and freshman Brett Loy, who shot a 2-over 74 on the Blue and Red courses. Mason Scott shot a 75 to take second overall, and Jonah Pearson (84) and Collin Ordonez (90) rounded out Sherando’s scoring.

James Wood was second with a 330, Millbrook was third with a 338, and Handley and Skyline tied for fourth with a 367.

For the Colonels, Will Holmes took third overall with a 79, and Roger Repasky tied Millbrook’s Brian McGuire for fourth overall with an 80. Handley was led by Jamie Miller, who shot an 88.
