James Wood ties for first in golf quad

FRONT ROYAL — James Wood tied Tuscarora for first place with a four-player score of 170 during a quad golf competition on Monday on the front nine at Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Club.

Liberty took third with a 200, and Millbrook was fourth with 206.

Senior Tyler Mounts led the Colonels. His 2-over-par 38 was one behind Tuscarora’s Casey Van Gladden (37) for the top individual score.

Also for James Wood, Jackson Lynch, Carson Baker and Drew Johnson each shot a 44.

Counting scores for Millbrook came from Connor Tavenner (48), Tyler McGuire (51), Nick Varcadipane (53) and Evan Argiro (54).
