Wood takes third at Berkeley Springs golf tournament
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — James Wood placed third and Handley took seventh at the 14-school Berkeley Springs Invitational on Friday at the Cacapon Golf Club on Friday.
Led by Brayden Rockwell — who tied for fourth with a 1-over par 73 — the Colonels had a four-player score of 321. Washington (West Virginia) won with a 311 and Martinsburg (West Virginia) was second with a 319. Handley recorded a 345.
Washington's Tommy Evans won by two strokes with a 4-under 68.
Other James Wood leaders: Jake Bursey 77 (seventh overall), Ian Longo 85, Lauren Van Horn 86.
Handley leaders: Lang Shickle 83, Nash Sharma 84, Finn Slaughter 88, Hudson Slaughter 90.
