Wood places 12th at Bryan Gunter Memorial golf
FRONT ROYAL — James Wood placed 12th out of 23 teams with a four-person score of 321 at the annual Bryan Gunter Memorial tournament at the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club on Thursday.
Independence took first place, recording a 25-under par team total of 263 on the Blue and Red nines (par 72) to beat runner-up Briar Woods by 27 strokes. Sam Han shot an 8-under par 64 to win medalist honors as his teammate, Keya Naik also shot a 64 to earn second place.
Millbrook (347) took 19th place, Sherando (351) placed 20th and Handley (352) placed 21st.
