VOLLEYBALL: Colonels 3, Wolverines 1

PURCELLVILLE — Ashley Hillyard had 18 kills and 29 assists to lead James Wood to a non-district victory over Woodgrove by the scores of 22-25, 25-12, 25-18, 25-17.

The Colonels (9-2) were also led by Lindsey Painter (15 kills), Ally Iden (18 digs), Megan Hillyard (23 assists), Emma Montgomery (four blocks, three aces) and Savannah Yost (three aces).
