Colonel girls beat Cougars
WINCHESTER — The James Wood girls team won 20-41 and the boys lost 23-34 in non-district dual meet action with Jefferson (W.Va.) Wednesday.
In the girls’ meet, James Wood took second through sixth place — Sophia Dorsey (22:22), Maria Harter (22:27), Claire Bright (23:23), Lydia Sunderlin (23:32) and Autumn Hottle (23:38).
In the boys’ meet, Andrew Shade took first overall with a time of 17:42. Max Lindquist was fourth (19:02) and Joseph Costello was eighth (19:33).
