Wood's Hillyard named all-region

WINCHESTER — Millbrook senior outside hitter Savanna Pearson, and James Wood senior setter Megan Hillyard were both named as first-team selections on the All-4A West Region volleyball team on Tuesday.

James Wood senior middle hitter Taylor Heishman, and Millbrook sophomore outside hitter Abigail Koeller earned second team all-region honors.

Loudoun County senior Hailey Rubino was named the 4A West Region Player of the Year, and Loudoun County coach Sherrilyn Hanna was named Coach of the Year.
