Wood volleyball sweeps Skyline
FRONT ROYAL — Junior outside hitter Jessica Putnam had 13 kills to lead James Wood to a 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 27-25) girls’ volleyball victory over Skyline on Tuesday night.
Sophomore Hanna Plasters added 13 assists, and junior Katherine Lever had 11 assists for the Colonels (9-3).
Junior Yeakley Pullen had a team-high 18 digs, and junior Gillian Kleiderlein had two blocks for James Wood.
On Monday, the Colonels beat Liberty 3-0 (25-11, 25-9, 25-15). Morgan Biggs led the Colonels with seven kills, and Putnam added six kills.
Lever had five aces and 14 assists, Plasters chipped in with nine assists, and Pullen led the way with 16 digs.
