The Northern Virginia Daily Sports staff collaborated to create a top 10 volleyball list. Each staffer voted, with 10 points being awarded to the top ranked team, nine to the No. 2 team and so on. Numbers in parentheses indicate where each team was last week.

1. Millbrook (1), 8-1, 1-0 Northwestern -- Millbrook finished third in the Bazer Classic last weekend, losing in the semis to eventual champion Jefferson Forest. The Pioneers have their first big Northwestern District test tonight against rival Sherando.

2. Strasburg (2), 8-1, 0-0 Bull Run -- Strasburg has now won eight matches in a row after losing to Sherando to start the season. The Rams will play Group AA Spotswood tonight.

3. James Wood (3), 5-4, 1-0 Northwestern -- James Wood lost to a solid Musselman (W.Va.) squad on Tuesday. They host Fauquier tonight.

4. Sherando (4), 5-5, 0-1 Northwestern -- The Warriors rebounded from a loss to James Wood last week with a win over Hedgesville on Tuesday night. 5. Clarke County (6), 5-4, 0-0 Bull Run -- The Eagles suffered a tough loss to Handley on Monday night. Clarke County's tough non-district schedule should help the team team prepare for the Bull Run District.

6. Stonewall Jackson (6), 4-6, 0-0 Shenandoah -- The Generals finished fourth in the Blazer Classic last weekend, falling in the fourth-place match to Millbrook. The Generals rebounded from the loss with a big win over Wilson Memorial, who they lost to in their season opener.

7. Central (8), 4-4, 0-0 Shenandoah -- The Falcons have won four of their last five matches, including a sweep of Warren County.

8. Handley (7), 4-5, 0-2 Northwestern -- The Judges were able to avenge their early-season loss to Clarke County, with a win over the Eagles on Monday. Handley rallied from a two-set deficit against Martinsburg (W.Va.) on Tuesday, only to fall in five sets.

9. Skyline (9), 4-5, 0-0 Northwestern -- The Hawks beat cross-town rival Warren County last week to earn bragging rights.

10. Warren County (10), 1-8, 0-0 Evergreen -- The Wildcats picked up their first win of the season last weekend in the Blazer Classic, sweeping Harrisonburg.
