FRONT ROYAL — James Wood defeated Warren County by the scores of 25-21, 25-21, 25-19 on Thursday.

The Class 4 Northwestern District champion Colonels (16-3) will host Class 3 NWD champion Kettle Run (18-1) for the overall Northwestern District championship on Tuesday in a match that will also count toward the Region 4D regular-season standings for James Wood. The Colonels will be the top seed in the Region 4D North with a win. A loss gives Millbrook the Regiion 4D North No. 1 seed. Kettle Run beat James Wood 3-1 in their only meeting on Oct. 3.
