PENN LAIRD- James Wood senior Emily Shannon had 13 kills, 12 digs, and three blocks to lead the James Wood to a 3-0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-21) victory over Spotswood in Tuesday night's opener.

Colonels senior Hannah Tierney added eight kills and three blocks. Shannon and Tierney also had four aces apiece.

Eleanor Kent had a team-high 19 assists, and Megan Crabtree added 11 digs for James Wood.
