WINCHESTER- The James Wood High School volleyball team took the last two games in a 3-1 (25-15, 22-25, 25-21, 25-19) Northwestern District victory over Millbrook Thursday night at Shirley Gymnasium.

The Pioneers (5-10, 0-7 Northwestern) were led by Blake Parkes (13 assists, 12 kills, 10 digs), Brittany Whitacre (10 blocks) and Callie Beegle (13 assists).

Wood improved to 13-5, 3-3 in the district.
