Tommy Keeler: Complex postseason format leaves lots in doubt

As Sherando players walked off the court Friday after a loss to Central in Northwestern District tournament quarterfinals, there was disappointment on their faces; there wasn't, however, the usual tears from seniors who have to face the reality that their season is over.
That's because with the new divisional split in Group AA, Sherando isn't sure if its season is over or not.
Many teams in the area could be facing the same dilemma this week. Last year, Group A went to two divisions in boys and girls basketball and this season Group AA has followed suit. I have many problems with this, the first being that competition becomes too watered down and the question of who is the best team is never really decided.
