Sfarnas signs with Davis & Elkins lacrosse

James Wood student George Sfarnas also signed a National Letter of Intent to play lacrosse at Division II Davis & Elkins on Tuesday.

Sfarnas is a member of the Handley club lacrosse program, which is made up of players from several area schools because it is not a varsity sanctioned sport.

Sfarnas joins a program that is looking to rebound from a 4-10 season and competes in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

He’ll play for head coach Matt Justice, who scored 34 goals in one season at Shenandoah University (2013) before transferring to Marymount University.
