Darrell Thompson — Sherando — Senior — Pitcher

Earning Northwestern District Pitcher of the Year honors, Thompson led the area with a 9-1 record. He posted a 1.63 earned-run average with 78 strikeouts in 512⁄3 innings. He also earned first team All-Region II honors and received Group AA honorable mention.

Lane Spinks — Millbrook — Senior — Pitcher

A first team All-Northwestern District selection, Spinks led Millbrook in victories, ERA and strikeouts with a 5-3 record, a 1.72 ERA and 43 strikeouts in 53 innings.

Ethan Mathews — Millbrook — Senior — Catcher

Mathews led Millbrook with his .500 (32 of 64) batting average. He also led the Pioneers in runs (27) and RBIs (26), earning first team All-Northwestern and All-Region II honors. Mathews was named to the All-Group AA second team.

Tre Porter — Sherando — Senior — Shortstop

Earning first team All-Northwestern District, Region II and Group AA state honors, Porter hit .479 with a team-record 39 runs. He also led the team with five home runs, 23 RBIs and 18 of his 34 hits went for extra bases. He also went 3-1 with three saves and a 1.54 ERA with 31 strikeouts in 271⁄3 innings. Porter is The Winchester Star’s Baseball Player of the Year.

Jacob Carney — Sherando — Junior — Second baseman

A first team All-Region II and All-Northwestern District selection, Carney led Sherando with his .500 (36 for 72) batting average and stole a team-high 24 bases in 28 attempts. He scored 25 runs and drove in 21, earning All-Group AA honorable mention.

Tyler Quinn — Sherando — Senior — First baseman

Quinn earned first team All-Northwestern District honors hitting .288 (15 of 52) with 12 runs and 16 RBIs. He also had a .973 fielding percentage with 102 putouts, seven assists and just three errors.

Jordan Iden — James Wood — Senior — Third baseman

A first team All-Northwestern District and second team All-Region II selection, Iden hit .340 and led the team in both runs (14) and RBIs (14) and tied with a team-best three triples.

Taylor Loudan — Sherando — Junior — Outfielder

Earning first team All-Northwestern District and second team All-Region II honors, Loudan hit .417 and ranked second for Sherando in runs (33), hits (35) and stolen bases (21). He also had 10 RBIs, three doubles and a .949 fielding percentage with 10 assists and two errors.

Matt Fazenbaker — Millbrook — Senior — Outfielder

Fazenbaker earned first team All-Northwestern District and second team All-Region II honors batting .379 with 14 RBIs and 21 runs scored. He had three doubles and 10 stolen bases, helping the Pioneers finish as the district runner-up.

Kyle Hevner — James Wood — Senior — Outfielder

A first team All-Northwestern District selection, Hevner hit .315 and ranked second on his team with 13 runs and tied for second with 11 RBIs. He led Wood with seven stolen bases and tied for the team lead with three triples.

Keith Hummer — Clarke — Junior — Designated hitter

Earning second team All-Bull Run District honors, Hummer led the Eagles in batting (.434), runs (25), RBIs (20), home runs (seven), on-base percentage (.506) and slugging percentage (.803). He also had five doubles, a triple and five stolen bases.

Ethan Emmart — Clarke — Senior — Utility

Emmart hit .325 and ranked second on the team with 25 runs scored. He had seven doubles, seven stolen bases and nine RBIs. On the mound, Emmart had three wins and a 1.94 ERA and led Clarke in strikeouts (62) and innings pitched (54).
