Baseball: Pioneers 13, Colonels 2

WINCHESTER — Host Millbrook scored at least two runs in each of the last five innings in beating James Wood in a Northwestern District game shortened to six innings Wednesday.

The Pioneers (11-9, 8-4 Northwestern) received a complete-game-performance from Trey Brathwaite, who allowed two runs (none earned), five hits, no walks and struck out five in improving to 4-0. Trenton Burgreen went 2 for 3 with three RBIs, Jacob Jaye went 1 for 3 with three RBIs, Alex Amos went 3 for 3 with two RBIs, and Alex Amos (3 for 3, with two RBIs).

James Wood is now 8-12, 4-8.
