WINCHESTER — Bryan Whitacre fired a four-hitter as James Wood edge Heritage in Conference 21 action on Tuesday.
Whitacre (5-1) struck out 12, while walking one.
James Wood (10-7, 5-2 conference) scored in the fourth inning. Zach Thompson was hit by a pitch with one out and raced around to score on back-to-back singles by Eli Warren and Kris Malsch.
