HARRISONBURG — James Wood scored two runs in the fifth inning and three in the sixth to rally from a 2-1 deficit and beat Harrisonburg in Conference 21 West action Thursday.

For the Colonels (2-2, 1-0 conference), Joel Smith (2-0) allowed two runs (none earned), four hits, one walk and struck out five, and Cameron Gross allowed one hit over the final two innings to pick up his second save.

Smith went 2 for 3 with three runs and Gross went 1 for 1 with a walk and run for James Wood, which had five hits.
