SPRING MILLS, W.Va. — James Wood scored the winning run in the sixth inning after Tyler Matthews drew the last of four walks. Also for James Wood (4-4), Matthews went 1 for 3 with a walk, Cody Polk went 1 for 3 with a walk and two runs and Sam Ellingsworth drove in two runs with a single.

Cameron Gross (1-0) pitched three innings of shutout relief for the win. He gave up two hits, walked one and struck out four. Ben Russo stuck out two in the seventh and earned the save.
