Baseball All-Area First Team

Anthony Simonelli

Millbrook — Junior — Pitcher

Earning first team All-Conference 21 West, All-4A West Region and second team Group 4A all-state honors, Simonelli led Millbrook in wins, strikeouts and earned-run average, going 8-1 with a save. The Coastal Carolina commit struck out 71 in 49 innings with a 0.57 ERA. He was named the Conference 21 West Pitcher of the Year and The Star’s Player of the Year.

Trey Braithwaite

Millbrook — Senior — Pitcher

A first team All-Conference 21 West selection, Braithwaite went 5-1 with a save and struck out 52 in 422/3 innings. The U.S. Naval Academy commit finished with a 0.98 ERA, helping the Pioneers reach the regional semifinals.

Colt Webb

Clarke — Junior — Pitcher

Earning first team All-Bull Run District and Conference 35 honors, Webb went 5-1 with a 2.18 ERA. He struck out a team-best 65 in 351/3 innings. Webb led the Eagles in strikeouts, wins and ERA. He also hit a pair of homers, scored 12 runs and had 12 RBIs.

Kaden Warren

Clarke — Sophomore — Catcher

A first team All-Conference 35 and second team All-Bull Run District selection, Warren batted .357 with 13 RBIs, 14 runs and a team-best seven doubles. He also threw out 17 of 24 runners attempting to steal.

Ravyn Rouse

Sherando — Freshman — First baseman

Earning second team All-Conference 21 West honors, Rouse ranked second for the Warriors in batting average (.365), and RBIs (13). On the mound, he went 3-1 with a 1.11 ERA and struck out 31 in 312/3 innings. Rouse also had one save.

Trenton Burgreen

Millbrook — Senior —Second Baseman

A first team All-Conference 21 West, All-4A West and second team Group 4A all-state selection, Burgreen batted .284 with a team-best 21 runs and tied for top team honors with 15 stolen bases. He also had eight RBIs. Burgreen will play for Shepherd University next year.

Alex Amos

Millbrook — Senior —Shortstop

Earning first team All-Conference 21 West and All-4A West and second team Group 4A all-state honors, Amos led Millbrook hitting .429 with 19 runs and nine RBIs. The Pitt commit also led the Pioneers in on-base percentage (.632), slugging percentage (.510) and tied for the team lead with 15 stolen bases.

Cody Santmyer

Clarke — Senior — Outfielder

A first team All-Bull Run District and Conference 35 selection, Santmyer batted .328 with 11 RBIs and 11 runs. He also hit a pair of home runs and had three stolen bases.

Conor Hartigan

Millbrook — Junior —Outfielder

A first team All-Conference 21 West, 4A West Region and second team Group 4A all-state selection, Hartigan hit .340 with 12 RBIs and 15 runs. The Coastal Carolina commit also had seven stolen bases, helping the Pioneers finish 18-3.

Ben Russo

James Wood — Junior —Outfielder

Earning first team All-Conference 21 West honors, Russo led James Wood in batting average (.386), runs (13), doubles (six), walks (12) and on-base percentage (.514). He also drove in six runs.

Jordon Turner

Clarke — Senior — Utility

A first team All-Bull Run District and Conference 35 selection, Turner hit .354 with 10 RBIs and led the Eagles with 25 runs. The University of Virginia-Wise commit led the Eagles with 12 stolen bases and defensively with 46 assists at shortstop.

Frank Ritter

Sherando — Sophomore — Utility

Earning second team All-Conference 21 West honors, Ritter led the Warriors in most offensive categories, including batting average (.369), runs (21), RBIs (14), doubles (10), stolen bases (13), on-base percentage (.462) and slugging percentage (.569). He also went 1-1 with one save.

Gavin West

Millbrook — Junior —Third baseman

A first team All-Conference 21 West selection as a designated hitter and a second-team pick at third base, West proved to be one of the Pioneers clutch hitters during the second half of the season. He batted .318 with a team-high 19 RBIs and tied for third on his team with 13 runs.
