Colonels score three late to hold off Hawks

Front Royal — James Wood started with a three-run inning and closed with a three-run frame. Good thing for the Colonels, since the Skyline High School baseball team put together a late-inning rally in hopes of stealing a win Friday night.
Finding Hawks reliever Luke Pingley virtually unhittable for two innings, James Wood gained some distance with a three-run seventh and picked up an 11-6 Northwestern District victory at Bing Crosby Stadium.
