Baseball: Colonels 10, Cougars 6

Winchester — Matt Copley pitched six innings and did not allow an unearned run to stay perfect as a pitcher and lift James Wood to a Northwestern District victory against Kettle Run Friday at R. Charles Hott Field.

Copley (5-0) allowed two unearned runs, five hits, no walks and struck out six for James Wood (10-3, 9-2 Northwestern).

Offensively, the Colonels were led by Danny Cooper, who had a three-RBI double, Dustin Russell, who had a double and two runs, and Brock Lockhart, who had a two-RBI single.
