Baseball: Pullen named Co-COY in Region 4D

James Wood head coach Adrian Pullen was named Region 4D Co-Coach of the Year along with Blacksburg’s Dave Dunstan as part of the All-Region 4D selections released Tuesday.

Blacksburg defeated James Wood 8-4 n the Region 4D championship game.

Five local players made the All-Region 4D teams.

First Team selections: Sherando: senior third baseman Neil Holborn; junior outfielder Hayden LaFever.

Second Team selections: James Wood senior pitcher Garett McAlexander; Handley senior shortstop Kaplan Ambrose; Millbrook senior outfielder Chase Ford.

Amherst senior pitcher and shortstop Dalton Wentz was selected as the Player of the Year.
