SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. — Andrew Burnett doubled and scored on a Daniel Garber single in the top of the first, but host Jefferson (W.Va.) scored twice in the bottom of the inning and held James Wood scoreless the rest of the way.
Chris Payne went the distance for the Cougars, striking out seven.
Niko Bobadilla (0-2) allowed three earned in five innings with four strikeouts for the Colonels (1-10).
