James Wood baseball notches 1st win

LEESBURG- Garret Cunningham pitched five innings for the win and hit an RBI double to lead the James Wood baseball team to a 6-3 win over Tuscarora in a non-district game Thursday.

Cunningham (1-0) allowed three earned runs, six walks and six hits on the mound for the Colonels (1-1), and he went 2 for 4 at the plate. James Wood was also led by Mitchell Prelip (2 for 3 with a run) and A.J. Eubank, who hit a two-run home run in the third inning.
