WINCHESTER — Fauquier scored the go-ahead goal with nine minutes left and held on to defeat James Wood in Friday night’s non-district match.
Tommy Houser scored the Colonels’ lone goal off an assist by Spencer Marfing in the 60th minute.
Joe Kysela made 10 saves for James Wood (4-2). Fauquier outshot the Colonels 14-13, and all three goals came in the second half.
