Boys’ Soccer Beats Hawks In NWD Play-In Match

WINCHESTER — Tommy Houser and Michael Carter each had three goals to lead the fourth-seeded James Wood boys’ soccer team to a 7-3 victory against No. 5 Skyline Thursday in the Northwestern District play-in game at Kelican Stadium.

Carter also had an assist for the Colonels (7-9-1). James Wood was also led by Ryland Williams (one goal, two assists), Matt Rader (two assists) and Colin Watts and Brandon Jones (one assist each).

James Wood will face No. 1 Sherando in Saturday’s semifinals at 1 p.m. at Kelican Stadium.
