WINCHESTER — Millbrook scored twice in the second half to defeat Northwestern District rival James Wood at the Colonels’ Kelican Stadium.

The Pioneers (4-0, 1-0 Northwestern) scored two minutes into the second half when Cal Lockley converted a Brian McGuire assist, then Jonathan Richards added an insurance goal when he scored on a free kick from 25 yards out.

Millbrook only gave up one shot as Chris Kozlowski recorded his second shutout of the year in goal. Cole Morris made 15 saves in goal for James Wood (1-4, 1-1).

Thursday’s game did not count toward the Conference 21 standings, but the next game between the two teams will.
