Millbrook Nets Boys’ Soccer Win Over James Wood

WINCHESTER — Millbrook senior Brian McGuire scored a goal and assisted on another score to lead the Pioneers to a 3-0 boys’ soccer victory over James Wood in the Frederick County-Winchester Kick-off Soccer Friendlies Tournament consolation game on Thursday night.

Millbrook’s Osman Montano scored just four minutes into the match off an assist by McGuire to stake the Pioneers (3-2) to a 1-0 lead at the half.

From there, Millbrook’s Paul Blanco scored in the 46th minute off an assist by Jonathan Richards, and McGuire added his goal just three minutes later on an assist by Matt Hershberger.

Pioneers goalkeeper Chris Kozlowski made three saves for his first shutout of the season.
