FRONT ROYAL — Chris Lakin scored two goals and Aidan Houser had two assists to lead James Wood to a Northwestern District win over Skyline on Wednesday.
The Colonels (5-5, 2-2 district) led 3-0 before giving up a late goal. James Wood — which had a 29-7 shot advantage — was also led by Xavier Kallash-Kyler (one goal) and Ethan Russell (six saves).
King pitched a complete-game three-hitter and struck out 12 batters, and Spielman was 2 for 3.
