BOYS’ SOCCER - Blue Streaks 6, Colonels 0

HARRISONBURG — Harrisonburg scored a pair of goals in the first six minutes as the Blue Streaks blanked James Wood in the Conference 21 West boys’ soccer tournament semifinals on Thursday.

Harrisonburg senior Roberto Gonzalez scored in the fourth minute and sophomore Eric Ramirez scored in the sixth minute.

Gonzalez added another goal in the 44th minute.

The Blue Streaks also got goals from Micah Yutzy, Onry Guifarra and Alionso Vieyra. Harrisonburg outshot James Wood 20-5.

Freshman goalkeeper Ethan Russell made 10 saves for the Colonels (8-9).

Harrisonburg (11-5) advances to Monday’s Conference 21 West championship game.
